Counselling Support

The City Counselling Centre provides facilities to enable voluntary organisations to offer personal counselling and support services. The Centre has its own counselling services for children, victims of sexual assault and carers.  It also has a Drop-In Crisis Service, counselling for drug and alcohol issues and trauma victims.  It is situated in the south wing of the City Church Complex but is quite independent of the church.

Milton Keynes Counselling at the Farthing House Counselling Centre in Netherfield also provides counselling.  It is a project of Milton Keynes MIND, and is partly funded by Milton Keynes Primary Care Trust. They offer low cost, affordable counselling to the citizens of Milton Keynes and surrounding area.

Discipline and Grievances

From 6 April 2009 there will be less emphasis on the mechanics of how to manage discipline, dismissals and grievance issues with more flexibility to resolve problems at an early stage and in a manner that best suits the individual organisation.

Information and Consultation of Employees

Statutory Guarantee Pay

An employee who is not provided with work throughout a day during which he would normally be required to work under his contract of employment is entitled to be paid a guarantee payment by his employer if:-
